Started in 1976 on the values of hard work and integrity, Omega Incorporated is now a leading forest products company in Western Pennsylvania. Working out of his truck with a checkbook in hand, Paul Chovan founded the company with portable sawmills in the woods. Paul’s wife Diane, who once answered phones for the company while watching two babies at home pretending to be in an office, has also been pivotal to Omega’s longevity.
A FAMILY BUSINESS
Omega has been a strong-run family business since its inauguration. Not only are we family-owned and operated, but we consider our employees and in turn our customer’s families as well. Paul now holds the title of CEO, while their youngest son Patrick was named company president in February 2014. Four decades since its humble beginnings, Omega is now one of the largest manufacturers of hardwood lumber in the region. We pride ourselves on our exceptional customer service. INDUSTRIAL LUMBER
In 1976, Omega Incorporated started its operations with portable sawmills working in the woods. Today, we manufacture 15 million board feet of industrial lumber and fine hardwoods annually. Since we are the manufacturer and not a broker, we will supply a top-quality product at very competitive pricing. A large buyer of standing timber for more than 40 years, Omega Incorporated has logging crews working in forests all over Pennsylvania and Ohio. We currently manage over 5,000 acres of timberland. Our foresters and logging crews are certified by the Pennsylvania Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) using best management practices in your timberlands.
